Pastor Danny is not what you would call a “normal” Pastor! Now, before you get that look on your face, we mean he didn’t go to college with becoming a Pastor in mind! He spent most of his adult life working and raising a family before our Lord led him to Seminary. His life has gone something like this:

            Born into a military family, Danny had the privilege of living in Michigan, Hawaii, New York, Oklahoma, Indiana and Texas before he was 11 years old! He attended Texas Lutheran University and received a Fine Arts B.A. in 1985. Danny’s career took him through Fine Arts, industrial equipment and computers before family and friends convinced him ministry was really where he needed to be.

So…at 40 years old, Danny, his wife Deedee, and two wonderful children Kellye and Matthew all moved to St. Louis, where Danny attended Concordia Seminary and completed his Masters of Divinity studies.

Trinity Church decided they loved the Koyn family (and us them!), and called them to Panama City in 2006. Danny became Associate Pastor in 2007. Pastor Danny’s wife, Deedee, also happens to be Pastor Wes’ daughter. So, now you know how things work around here! It’s all about family!

Ministry has always been about family for Pastor Danny and the people of Trinity. When (not if) you come to Trinity Church, that’s how you’ll be treated…like family. Jesus already loves you. Let us have the honor of showing you in person. You’ll be blessed.
